Check back often for updates on recycling on St. Thomas. Right now I have information on aluminum cans, plastic bags, and glass bottles, but if you have information on any other options shoot me an email and I'll put it up on the site! If you are holding an event and would like help getting rid of reusable products let me know and I'll help to organize the collection and removal.

I VERY excited to announce that MIMH is in the process of creating a line of clutches and shopping bags that are made out of recycled cans and plastic. Save your plastic bags, packing plastic, anything (not too disgusting) you were going to throw it away and bring it down to the Welcome Center at Yacht Haven Grande on Saturdays (for the moment) and see your trash transformed into treasure!

CANS

Right now there is a program by VIWMA to recycle aluminum cans. As I get more information I will post it here but for now if that is the route you want to go you can drop them off at Flagship Charter Yacht Services where they are currently collecting the cans from the charter boats.

bottles

By far the best thing to do with your glass bottles is to save them and bring them to Water Candy where you can see your bottles turned into beautiful and functional works of art! While you're there pick up gifts for everyone you know, I promise there's something there for everyone. And as an added bonus, if you are a bottle donator you can receive a discount at the shop!
